At the Saratoga Hawks Junior AFL Club, the safety, wellbeing and protection of every child and young person who plays with us comes first. We actively support national safeguarding principles that ensure every participant has the right to “Be Safe, Feel Safe and Play Safe” while involved in AFL football. This commitment means fostering a culture where children and young people are respected, feel welcome, and are supported by trained volunteers, coaches and officials to participate in football in a safe and inclusive environment. Our club aligns with the AFL’s safeguarding framework, which includes policies, codes of conduct, reporting procedures and educational resources designed to protect young people from harm and promote positive experiences across all levels of community football.
