Our round 8 match saw the Saratoga Hawks u11's vs Peninsula Swans.

We played this team very recently in round 5, suffering a heavy loss on the scoreboard then. Today, player numbers were evenly matched, the big difference compared to last clash being the playing conditions. It was a very wet & heavy ground today.

Our u11's dominated from the start, playing with good intensity for all 4 quarters, which was pleasing as we have found it tough to manage this in majority of games this season. Our Hawks were even able to keep the swans goal less until the final quarter.

Major contributors to the scoreboard were Hunter & Aidan, with many the result of good teamwork leading up to the goals.

The final score was Hawks 10.15.75 bt Swans 1.5.11.
A massive turnaround in our favour from the previous clash.
Today's 10 goal performance in the conditions shows our boys relish playing in the mid winter mud & slush of Saratoga Oval & our opposition...well not so much!!

Coach's award went to Marcus C for his defensive efforts in centre field.

Player of the Week went to Nathan R. This was by far Nathan's best performance since giving afl a go this season...and yes, the knees got dirty today

Well done to all our u11 players.
