SaraHawks U11 - Round 7 Wrap Up

posted May 31, 2015, 12:59 AM by Auskick SaraHawks

Today we were up against Peninsula Swans at Rogers Park and with the success of last week’s game and a great effort by all at training it was set to be a cracker of a game for the Sara Hawks.

With a bit of drizzle around in the 1st Quarter made the ball a little slippery for both teams and very congested play which resulted in a low scoring quarter 1 goal & 1 point for each side by the end.

In the 2nd quarter the Swans kicked a couple of goals, Sara Hawks teamwork & supporting/communicating with each other in & around the packs was lacking and our boys just couldn’t find open space to play our running game and our defence was under pressure all day, we kept trying to push forward but with limited success and eventually the Swans came out on top.

It just wasn’t our day today and some more ball handling drills at training on Thursday will get us back on track.

Final result Sara Hawks 4.3.27 : Swans 9.6.60

Player of the week & a sensational goal – Patrick Sheppard
Coaches award & a great effort in defence – Nathan Robinson
“Clarkson” Leadership training award – Callum Draper.

Keep smiling boys & see you on Thursday.
