Under 9 Gold Round 5

It was a beautiful yet hard day at the office for the Saratoga under 9’s Gold this week. With a couple of players off with the flu, the going was tuff against the Niagara Park Dockers.With a slightly taller and more mobile opposition we struggle to get the ball. The kids tried hard for most of the game and there were a few standouts with huge efforts from JJ, Deano and Ben.

I was impressed with Liam’s efforts this week and Spencer when he got going and Connors tackling as always was a highlight.

But the standout this week was Ben, who is only new to footy, but picking up the game really well. Excellent work Ben!

The best part of the day for me was the smiles on the kids at the end of the game - we even got the words of the team song this week smile emoticon
