Under 9 Gold - Great Contest Against Wyong Lakes

Turned out to be a spectacular winter’s day for footy today. Wyong Lakes joined us for what was terrific contest. The ball flowed from end to end, the scoring was consistent and all the spectators really enjoyed watching the contested ball as the kids went hard all day. JJ’s ability to dribble his way out of trouble, Riley’s commitment and Arian’s running into space really shone. Macka was setting up team mates as he attacked the footy and as always Ben was superb at running the ball and reading the play. Spencer took another great mark over his head backwards, Deano nearly got the mark of the day running into space and Connor had a cracking start as he lead the way in the 1^st quarter. The coach’s award goes to Liam. I spoke to him before the game on taking that next step by getting in a grabbing the contested ball and he really stepped. Super proud of you mate.

This week we will focus on roving the scraps on the ground and looking to off load to those on the run. Great Day, great umpiring, great contest (Thanks Wyong Lakes you did your club proud) and great work boys!
