Sarahawks u9 - Brown v Killarney Vale

The boys constructed their very own solid warm up today. Who’d of thought high kicks over the ‘baseball net’ and retrieving floating balls from the creek with ‘the big stick’ would work so well? Welcome to U9’s!

Game on, and the boys played really well. There was tremendous teamwork displayed all day with our boys chiming in nicely with the three Killarney Vale boys that played with us all game.

The mud factor played was good for us. On the heavy ground we kicked accurately to each other and held lots of marks. We bustled in defence & won plenty of the ball in the ruck. And the boys moved well into space. It was a real enjoyable game to watch, and as a bonus we scored some terrific goals!

Thanks to Steve for stepping into the Coach jersey. If we keep playing like that with Steve on field….I think Steve will get to keep that fashionable coaches bib!

Player of the Week was Wade B. Wade was strong all day kicking & marking. His handballs & wrap around runs off the ball into space were a standout part of his play today and led to some excellent ball movement up field. Well done Wade!
