Auskick - It’s a record!

60+ kids attended Auskick this week at the Sara Hawks with not one, but two teams in Terrigal and Niagara Park joining in the fun! A really big Thanks to Sheriff and the Terrigal Auskick as well as Steven and the Niagara Park Dockers for joining in and making the day a great success. We split the Sara Hawks in half and played two teams on two modified and close quartered fields. What a sight on such a picture perfect pitch.I know the footy Gods were smiling as they put on a perfect Day at the Hawks nest to host such an event.

As coaches we were super proud of the Sara Hawks Auskick team. They all put in a tremendous effort in the drills and showed heaps of ticker in the game. It was real hard to select a winner, but 8 kicks to Zavier in the Dockers game and a typical gutsy effort by Macka in the Terrigal game, gave them the two player of the week awards.

That leads me to Ryan. For those that do not know, Ryan has played his heart out for the whole season for the mighty Hawks, including playing a number of under 9’s games. 3 weeks ago at another sport (The obviously dangerous game of s-----, he broke his arm). Showing great team spirit he has been at the ground every week since supporting his team mates and offering to play. The Coaches award for that effort goes to Ryan. Get that arm fixed soon Mate, we need you back!
