A Challenge for Sarahawks U11

Post date: Jun 21, 2015 9:42:12 AM

Today's game was going to be a challenge as we are under pressure in relation to the current ladder positions Sara Hawks 5th and KV red 7th and to add to it this, the ground was wet & boggy. First quarter we challenged for the ball but the the desire to win the ball definitely was with KV as they kicked a couple of goals to get an early break in the wet & muddy conditions. In the following quarter time breaks, we reminded the team to be hungry for the ball and get dirty on our hands and knees and to match KV and to win the ball and kick into space and help each other out. We showed short glimpses of how we can play with Ben taking a strong mark & kicking a goal from a great clearance from Aidan F from the centre bounce, but it just didn't continue with KV red running away with the game.

Final score KV red 10.7.67 def Sara Hawks 1.1.7 under the mercy rule.
